The Ease of Following the Paleo Foods List

,
Paleo Diet List Of Foods :

When mentioning a foods list to someone beginning a new diet, there is usually a look of pain that follows. No one wants to give up the foods that they have grown to love. Over the years we have grown accustomed to certain foods and giving them up seems a harsh punishment. However, our bodies are already punishing us from throwing unwanted junk into our systems. Sluggishness, weight gain and poor concentration are a few of the signs that our bodies use to tell us to stop! The paleo foods list is nothing more than a guide to show you how working in harmony with your body is not painful at all but quite the opposite.

The Ease of Following the Paleo Foods List

Meat

Many diets almost eliminate the use of meat, stating that fat is stored in the body. Man has been catching and eating meat since the beginning of time. Our bodies are designed to thrive on a certain amount of protein, meat being a good source. Beef, pork, lamb, game meat, poultry, fish and shellfish can all be found on the paleo foods list for daily consumption. Olive oil, butter, ghee, lard and nut oils can even be used in meal preparation that are fats derived from natural sources.

Vegetables

The list of vegetables on the paleo list goes on and on. Tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, celery, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, cucumbers, Brussels sprouts, lettuce, kale, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, radish, squash and pumpkin are only a few of the wide selections of fresh items in this food group that provides vitamins and minerals galore. In going through this list, one has to really work hard to determine exactly what is missing.

Fruit

Fruit is a favorite of almost everyone with one or two types being more prominent than others but we fail to take advantage of their goodness. Many times our systems cry out for fruit like bananas, apples, oranges, berries or peaches and we grab a fruit bar. Unless you are going for the real thing, you are only kidding yourself but not your body. The paleo foods list also includes grapes, cantaloupe, cherries, watermelon, lemons, tangerines, coconuts and kiwi among others.

Other Foods

Not limited to only meats, vegetables and fruits, there are other types of food that are allowed on the foods list that can benefit and fulfill our bodies with nutrition. Eggs, nuts and seeds, mushrooms, herbs, and spices can bring flavor to any meal that you prepare. Vegetables and meats with added spices of garlic, pepper or chilies can create a succulent dinner that is healthy and robust. Vanilla and cinnamon on fruits bring out a special sweetness that the palette loves. This list is not a punishment but a way to get your body and mind back on track to better eating and living. By getting rid of the preservatives, chemicals and saturated fats that bog down your system, you will be able to function in a more positive way. When your body feels good, life in general looks better.
